At the Table

keynote by: Maggie Nichols

Born in Little Canada, MN in 1997, Maggie fell in love with gymnastics at the age of 3. She always dreamed of representing her country and quickly rose in the ranks, making the US National Team at 14. Maggie traveled the world helping Team USA win international medals and was considered a top contender for the 2016 Olympics. A knee injury and being the first to speak out regarding misconduct and sexual abuse within USA Gymnastics caused speculation when she was left off of the 2016 Olympic Team.

In June 2020, Netflix aired “Athlete A”, a documentary featuring Maggie’s story as the first athlete to come forward and report abuse by USA Gymnastics team doctor, Larry Nassar.

By sharing her story, Maggie hopes to shed light on this tragedy and help other victims and survivors of all types of abuse.

Maggie Nichols: elite gymnast, courageous survivor, and “Athlete A” (as featured in the Emmy Award—winning Netflix documentary)

At the Table will feature stories of strength, resiliency, and the power of community.

Together, we can influence a culture where abuse is not tolerated, and all people feel safe and valued in their relationships. Join us. We've saved you a seat.
